Design for Manufacture
Steep has been designed to be fully manufactured, with the intricacies of injection moulding, press forming and powder coating all employed to ensure no slip ups in the manufacturing process.
Ideation
Numerous rounds of ideation were undertaken to develop Steep's complex form. Including development of form and function.
Use of different media
Throughout the development process, basic sketching, digital sketching and CAD were used to ensure the design suits its environment.
Iterative prototyping
Numerous prototypes helped develop the product through form and function.
Interaction testing
Interaction testing was useful to see if the product's affordances were obvious for a new user, without the use of a manual.
